Tech Analyst / Associate

We’re now looking for an enthusiastic Tech Analyst / Associate to dive into early-stage, tech-driven ventures and the fields shaping the future — AI/ML, Cloud Computing, Deeptech, Robotics, Industrial Automation, Data Science, etc. You’ll be out and about, meeting and assessing founders and whether we should make bets on their professional trajectories. The job includes both market and technology research and evaluation as well as your personal assessment and building a qualified point of view of the attractiveness of a company and its team, product and technology. You’ll also help shape our screening and tracking processes, supporting a scalable investment platform.

You are an innovative and energetic professional, interested in connecting with and talking to founders about cutting-edge technology, demonstrating technical capabilities as well as the ability to make sound judgements. You are on your track towards a product management, (software) engineering, or data science career (or similar). Ideally you can code a bit or have experience in building stuff yourself and like to think about innovative ideas and what’s new in the early-stage venture world - a world that you’ve already had exposure to. We want you as part of the team, with your ideas and views. • Scout founding teams and tech-focused start-ups and evaluate their technologies and products

• Expand your network to meet and assess founders, build genuine relationships, and discuss their ideas and visions

• Research markets, trends, and competitive dynamics

• Prepare structured insights and your opinion to guide our investment decisions

• Cultivate your point of view and help shape the future of 10x Founders

• Represent 10x Founders publicly at events and conferences

• Curiosity to get to know people and their ideas and to understand new, dynamic and fast-moving developments in technology, digital products and innovation

• University degree that demonstrates technical and analytical capabilities (e.g. in fields such as computer science, engineering, information systems, physics, digital products, product management, or related)

• Experience in either evaluating or building technologies related to some of the relevant fields mentioned above: AI/ML, Cloud Computing, Deeptech, Robotics, Industrial Automation, Data Science/Engineering, etc.

• Ideally some knowledge of database/programming languages and coding

• Work experience in a relevant field to this role: Analyst: 1-2 years, Associate: 2-3 years, and past exposure to and demonstrated interest in start-ups or VC

• Ability to structure and document your thinking and to write and communicate clearly in English (German language skills are not required)

• Ability to speak to entrepreneurs and VC partners eye-to-eye, especially on a product/technical level

• Flexible, friendly, and positive can-do attitude

• Work with an excellent, experienced and collaborative high-performance team of entrepreneurs and investors without hierarchies

• Exposure to and analysing of the newest cutting-edge technologies that come across our table at a fast pace, together with the rest of the investment team and partners

• Ability to learn and grow, and build your track record and network and career in the early-stage venture industry
