Founders Associate - Engineering Internship

🏢
Office: Munich, Germany
📅
Start Date: ASAP

🚀 About askLio

We change how the world’s biggest enterprises buy. We build virtual buyers (AI agents) that replicate how enterprise procurement works - from sourcing to negotiation. Backed by Y Combinator and leading Silicon Valley investors we’re scaling globally with blue-chip customers. If you want real ownership, direct impact, and a front-row seat to a once-in-a-generation AI shift, this is it.

🏄‍♂️ About the team

You will join an ambitious and highly collaborative team of engineers, AI specialists, and product builders. We move quickly, take ownership, and care deeply about delivering real impact for our customers. At askLio, you’ll work closely with the founders, ship fast, and help shape both the product and the culture as we scale.

The Role

We’re looking for a Founders Associate – Engineering who enjoys working close to the product and is excited to contribute to both technical and strategic initiatives.
You’ll support engineering planning, help scope features, run internal technical projects, assist with investigations and debugging, and generally do whatever moves engineering and product forward.
Think of it as a technical generalist role that touches architecture, data, product thinking, coordination, and hands-on problem solving.
In this role, you will:
Assist with feature scoping, requirement gathering, and translating customer needs into clear technical tasks
Support debugging or analysis when bottlenecks or issues arise
Ensure alignment across engineering, product, delivery, and founders
Analyze edge cases, workflows, and constraints to ensure clean technical execution
Support architecture discussions and document decisions
Assist in developing internal tooling, dashboards, or workflows that improve engineering efficiency
Take ownership of high-priority technical or product initiatives
Identify gaps in processes, tooling, or workflows and propose concrete solutions
Help shape how the engineering organization scales as we grow
This role blends engineering intuition, product thinking, structured problem solving, and high ownership — ideal for someone who wants broad exposure across tech & product in an early-stage AI startup.

What We’re Looking For

You’re a good fit if you:
Have a technical background (engineering, computer science, data, or similar)
Communicate clearly and can break down complex problems
Enjoy switching between technical detail and broader product thinking
Are structured, reliable, and able to keep cross-functional workstreams aligned
Learn quickly and thrive in dynamic environments
Appreciate working hands-on and tackling whatever is highest leverage
Are curious about AI systems, workflows, and enterprise operations
Want direct exposure to founders and engineering decisions
Bonus: experience with APIs, workflows, or LLM-based systems

What We Offer

Direct influence on product and workflow design
Work with DAX companies and global enterprises from day one
A fast-moving, ownership-driven environment with close founder access
A front-row seat to one of the most significant AI transformations in enterprise operations

Why join us?

🌱 You will help build the foundation of a category-defining AI company — and benefit from the upside as we scale
🤖 Work on technically challenging problems that bring AI Agents into real-world enterprise operations
💨 No politics — just ownership, speed, and a deep focus on delivering customer value
⚡️ We are well-funded, growing fast, and have a clear vision for transforming procurement at the world’s largest companies
🏔️ Build the culture you always wanted — as one of our first team members, you will shape our workflows, processes, and how we operate every day
