About the role

We are looking for a Tech Lead to own the technical direction of our platform and grow with us as the engineering team scales. You'll combine deep hands-on engineering with architectural leadership - setting the standard for how we build, ship, and operate AI-powered finance software at enterprise scale. You'll work directly with our CTO and founding team to make the critical technical decisions that define our product and platform. This is not a management-only role - you'll write code, shape architecture, mentor engineers, and drive the technical roadmap. We're headquartered in Munich, with roots in San Francisco through Y Combinator.

What you'll do

• Own architecture and technical direction across our platform - from AI pipelines and ERP integrations to frontend and infrastructure.

• Build and ship production features end-to-end, setting the bar for quality, speed, and reliability.

• Drive the technical roadmap together with our CTO, translating product ambitions into engineering plans.

• Mentor and grow engineers on the team - through code reviews, pairing, and setting engineering standards.

• Make pragmatic technology and design decisions that balance speed with long-term scalability.

• Optimize AI model performance and workflow reliability in real-world, mission-critical customer scenarios.

What we're looking for

• 5+ years of full-stack development experience, with a track record of building and shipping complex products - ideally AI-powered or enterprise-focused.

• Strong JavaScript/TypeScript skills with deep experience in React and Next.js.

• Backend expertise in Node.js or comparable languages like Python or Go, with a focus on scalable APIs and AI-driven services.

• Hands-on experience with AI models and APIs - you've integrated, evaluated, and optimized LLMs in production.

• Proven ability to make sound architectural decisions and own technical direction across a product.

• Experience mentoring engineers and raising the bar for engineering quality in a team.

• A builder's mindset - you care about outcomes, not process, and you ship fast without cutting corners.

• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills in fast-moving, collaborative environments.

Compensation Range: €30K - €130K
