About the role
As an Account Executive, you’ll drive our growth by building trusted customer relationships.
In this role, you’ll own your entire sales pipeline - from initial meeting to closing the deal - and help companies transform their productivity with AI. Your key focus will be to demonstrate the value of our product and guide potential customers through their evaluation journey.
What you will be working on
New Business: Qualify and close new customers
Lead Generation: Work closely with our prospecting team to ensure an optimal customer journey and proactively manage your own pipeline
Customer Value: Guide prospects through their evaluation process, build strong customer relationships and develop business cases that clearly demonstrate our product’s value
Sales Process: Conduct demos, handle negotiations, and close deals while continuously improving our sales process
Sales Strategy: Design and implement new strategies to win key accounts and expand into new markets.
Customer Feedback: Gather and share customer insights with the engineering team to drive product innovation
Organizational Development: Build and train a high-performing sales team and scalable sales processes.
What we’re looking for
You have 1+ years of closing experience in B2B SaaS/tech sales with a track record of exceeding quota in mid-market/enterprise
You have are confident in leading product demos and translating workflows into clear business value
You communicate professionally and appropriately to executive audiences.
You are resilient, demonstrate grit, and are strong in pipeline management and execution
You are pragmatic, solution-oriented, and motivated to build something and grow with us
Ideally, you have initial experience with construction, supply chain, and the trades
You are willing to work five days a week from our Munich office with a higher intensity than in a 9-5 job, with occasional customer travel
You are native in German and fluent in English

About the interview
Step 1: Intro Call
A casual introductory meeting with one of the founders to get to know each other and introduce Mercura.
Step 2: ICP Deep Dive & Cold Call Role Play
A deep dive into Mercura’s Ideal Customer Profile (ICP) with Lukas (Co-Founder & CEO), where we explore target customers, positioning, and value proposition in detail.
This will be followed by a cold call simulation. In this role play, you will engage a (fictional) prospective customer and your objective is to schedule a demo for Mercura.
Step 3: Customer Meeting Role Play
A second role play in which you conduct a first customer meeting with a fictional customer about a product you know well (for example, from a previous employer).
Step 4: On-Site
Work alongside the entire team for a day on-site from our Munich office to fully immerse yourself in our culture and collaboration style. This on-site will be paid.
For the on-site, you will receive preparation materials in advance to conduct a first sales meeting with a fictional customer for Mercura.
Step 5: Offer & Reference Checks
If we see a great fit, you will get an offer, including a competitive compensation package with equity participation. At the same time, we’ll ask you to provide 2–3 references so we can gather additional insights into your strengths and working style.
Compensation Range: €100K - €200K
