Working Student / Intern: Founder’s Associate to the CEO (m/f/d)
1. About EASE
EASE develops active, AI-powered exoskeletons for industrial logistics and manufacturing. Our mission is to make physically demanding work healthier, more productive, and data-enabled. As a spin-off from the Technical University of Munich, we combine deep research in ergonomics and robotics with a clear path to industrial deployment.
Our system supports the arms and back, reacts to human movement in real time, and is designed for the work environments where conventional exoskeletons, automation, and humanoid robots do not yet deliver. Each system also creates the foundation for data-driven process insights in manual workplaces.
EASE is entering a decisive scaling phase: paid pilots, CE compliance, series-ready hardware, a repeatable sales motion, and a growing network of industrial and distribution partners. We are hiring a Founder’s Associate to the CEO to turn strategic priorities into measurable execution.
2. The Role
As Founder’s Associate to the CEO, you will work directly with the CEO on the highest-leverage topics across the company: sales, fundraising, strategy, partnerships, investor communication, and operating cadence.
This is not a traditional assistant role. You will take responsibility for defined workstreams, with close sparring from the CEO and founding team. You will structure ambiguous problems, prepare decisions, drive follow-through, and help build the operating system of a deep-tech company moving from pilot traction to commercial scale.
3. What You Will Own
CEO Office & Strategic Projects
You will support the CEO with company-critical initiatives, decision documents, market analyses, competitive positioning, KPI reporting, investor updates, management presentations, and business cases. You will help translate strategic discussions into clear priorities, accountable owners, and next steps.
Business Development & Sales Execution
You will help build and professionalize our sales engine. This includes target-account research, lead preparation, CRM hygiene, pipeline tracking, customer-meeting preparation, follow-up management, and structured qualification of industrial customers in logistics and production.
You will support the transition from demos and paid pilots to scalable rollouts by helping define use cases, pilot scopes, business cases, success metrics, and decision paths inside customer organizations.
Fundraising & Investor Relations
You will help prepare and refine pitch materials, financial narratives, investor lists, due-diligence documents, data-room materials, follow-ups, and investor updates. Your work will help communicate EASE’s investment case: a hardware-led market entry with long-term data and platform potential.
Partnerships & Ecosystem Development
You will identify and evaluate distribution partners, industrial partners, implementation partners, and strategic multipliers. You will prepare outreach, support partner conversations, and help convert early interest into structured collaboration.
Operations & Process Building
You will improve internal operating discipline across CRM processes, reporting routines, meeting structures, documentation, offer preparation, pipeline reviews, and cross-functional communication. You will work closely with Sales, Product, Engineering, and Finance to ensure that execution does not get lost between functions.
4. What We Are Looking For
You should be comfortable with ambiguity, speed, and responsibility. You do not wait for perfect instructions; you clarify the objective, structure the path, and execute.
- Degree in business, industrial engineering, mechanical engineering, management, entrepreneurship, finance, or a comparable field.
- First experience in a startup, venture capital, consulting, business development, sales, operations, or an industrial B2B environment.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to work confidently with markets, business models, customer data, and financial logic.
- Structured, reliable execution with strong ownership and disciplined follow-through.
- Excellent communication skills in English and German.
- Interest in deep tech, industrial transformation, robotics, ergonomics, AI, and B2B sales.
- Willingness to do both strategic and hands-on work - from investor materials to CRM cleanup.
- High tolerance for uncertainty, shifting priorities, and the operating reality of an early-stage company.
5. What You Will Get
You will work directly with the CEO and founding team on the core value drivers of the company. You will gain exposure to strategy, fundraising, sales, product development, industrial partnerships, and operational scaling.
You will join a TUM spin-off with a strong technical foundation, real industrial demand, and a clearly defined market problem. The founding team brings expertise in ergonomics, exoskeletons, mechatronics, robotics, finance, and industrial customer development.
For the right person, this role can develop into a Chief of Staff, Business Development Lead, Revenue Operations, or broader operating-leadership position as EASE scales.
6. Why Now
EASE is moving from research, prototypes, and pilot traction into certified series readiness, repeatable sales processes, and scalable market entry. This is the phase where operating excellence determines whether a strong technology becomes a category-leading company.
As Founder’s Associate to the CEO, you will work at the point where decisions are made, priorities are set, and execution becomes company value.
7. How to Apply
Please send your resume and a short note explaining why you want to take on this role.
