About the Role
HUD is looking for a Technical Writer to tell the stories behind what people build on our platform. You'll transform customer work, product developments, and research into clear, technically grounded content that resonates with AI engineers, researchers, and technical leaders. This role sits at the intersection of product, marketing, and community—helping us communicate what HUD enables and why it matters.
What You'll Do
- Write technically accurate content across multiple formats: case studies, technical articles, product explainers, launch materials, and social posts.
- Interview customers, partners, and internal experts to uncover what they built, how it works, and what changed; distill those conversations into compelling stories backed by concrete evidence.
- Develop deep familiarity with HUD's platform, marketplace, and real customer workflows so you can explain them with authority.
- Partner with founders and the team to articulate product vision, technical insights, and platform wins in a consistent voice.
- Propose new content topics and formats, shepherd drafts through feedback cycles, and iterate based on reader engagement and GTM team input.
What We're Looking For
- Experience writing technical content for engineering or AI audiences, with a portfolio demonstrating your ability to explain complex concepts clearly.
- Comfort learning new platforms and technologies quickly, and translating technical conversations into accessible narratives.
- Strong interviewing and storytelling skills—you can extract meaningful details from demos and conversations and shape them into engaging stories.
- Ability to work cross-functionally with product, marketing, and customer-facing teams.
- Self-direction in proposing topics, managing projects from conception to publication, and using feedback to improve your work.
